How to prepare for the treatment?

• A laparoscope will be inserted into one of the incisions, and the surgery will be performed robotically.
• The large fibroids are cut into small pieces so that they are easily removed.
• The surgeon will release the gas and sew the incision with stitches.
• You may have to spend one night in the hospital.

 Hysteroscopic myomectomy

• For the procedure, the doctors will place you under general anesthesia.
• The surgeon will place a thin, narrow, lighted scope through your vagina and cervix into your uterus. A liquid will be inserted to broaden the uterus to allow them to see your fibroids more clearly.
• With the help of a wire loop, the fibroids pieces will be shaved off. The liquid will help in clearing the pieces of fibroids.
• You may go home on the same day as the surgery.

• You can return to your normal activities after weeks, depending on the procedure.
