ABOUT DOCTOR

Dr C. Arumugam has been very keen to pursue Cardiac Thoracic surgery as his speciality and has explored the latest developments namely - Minimally invasive cardiac surgery and end-stage cardiac failure surgical options. His field of interest lies in Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery, Treatment of Cardiac Failure using Assist Devices & Heart transplants. As Junior Consultant, he has assisted all routine and complex adult cardiac procedures. He has independently performed some of the straightforward procedures and has been an integral part of the “Harvest” team of a heart transplant. He has also designed and fabricated unique instruments for minimally invasive cardiac surgery.
